Night of the Sapphire Wulf Ch. 4

Before long, both Huck and Jewel finally made it downstairs to the Dining Hall, where Caroline, Richard, Clementine and Hookan were seated at the table. They looked up and saw her, making the cat gulp inwardly in nervousness!!

But they three family members smiled at her as Hookan looked at her. "So you must be Jewel. Do have a seat, please, and we'll have our breakfast while we chat." Said Caroline, just as the doors to the kitchen opened.

To Jewel's SHOCK and Awe, the tea cart and plates of breakfast seemed to be moving on thier own, when it was actually the ghostly spirits carrying them. She watched as the plates were placed in front of her and the Hounds, while the tea was being poured and served to everyone!

"Now then, Jewel, can you tell us about yourself? Huck here told us that you're new around here." Richard said, as two lumps of sugar was added to his tea as a small pitcher of cream was poured.

After taking a sip of her tea, Jewel nodded. "Well, to make it short, Sir, I came from America. I'm a graduate from the pristen D. Butler Collage, after I've done my studies about the supernatural and phenominan. I came here hoping to find a job, but I was attacked by those strange shadowy creatures. But from what I learned, I think they're the Shadow Demons, minions of Satan that would bring a victim to Hades....But what's strange is that aside Satan, only a person who can use the same powers at the Devil himself could perhaps use the minions and creatures to his or her own advantage. But that's just a guess." Hookan raised an eyebrow at that as Huck smiled.

"Gosh, Jewel! You sound like you like stuff like that!" Clementine said, to which the cat nodded with a giggle! "Of course. Ever since I was little, I was always fascinated by the ghost, creatures of the night and everything about the unexplainable! I know it sounds strange, but...I hope that someday, both humans and the creatures of the night would get along with each other, as equal beings." Jewel replied.

Hookan rubbed his chin in thought as the rest of his family chatted, liking the feline while Huck smiled softly at her.

After breakfast, Hookan made his way to his room. Once he got there and closed his door shut, he went over to the mirror on his vanity and sat down. The four candles on his vanity suddenly lit up in a gentle blue flame as the mirror itself started to glow a soft golden color.

"Quincy....Master Quincy...Can you hear me?" Hookan started, as the glass in the mirror seemed to swirl in different colors.

"Confound it! Where's that book?! I KNEW I placed that "Spells and Incantations of Nature" here somewhere!" Said the voice of a man, as the hound sweatdropped with an amused chuckle!

"Quincy, it's me, Hookan Hound. Can you hear me?" Hookan said again. This time, the mirror changed, revealing the image of a wizard's home, albeit a bit messy from the man's search. The man looked over and saw him! "Oh oh!! I'll be right there!! Hold on!" Said the man.

After he chanted a levitaion spell, the stuff on the floor lifted up and were properly put back into thier right places. The man then went over to his own mirror before he smiled at Hookan.

The wizard was known as Quincy Magoo, a balding man with squinted eyes, a biggish nose and minor wrinkles. He wore his white and greyish robes, a pointed wizard's hat and carried a staff made of oak, with a crystal orb on top and bands made of silver, stranding the orb in it's place, yet decorating the top and bottom of the staff in light details.

"Oh by thunder! Hookan my boy, so good to see you again! How's the family at Castle Hound?" Magoo asked. The Hound chuckled a bit. To him, Magoo was a kind but understanding wizard who was liked by everyone, both supernatural beings and humans alike!

"They're alright, Sir, but we have a guest...Who knows about the Shadow Demons." Hookan said. Quincy looked at him, through squinted eyes, as he listened. "Please, tell me about this young guest." He inquired. Hook nodded before he explained what Huck told him and his family. After he was done, Magoo rubbed his chin in deep thought.

"Lad, that feline friend of yours MIGHT be here for a reason." He said. At that, Hookan looked at him! "Sir, what do you mean "For a reason"? She said herself that she came here looking for a job!" He said, but Magoo raised his hand to silence him.

"I know it sounds confusing, but hear me out, Hookan. Young Jewel's a unique feline. If the Shadow Demons are in England...That means They're back..." He said. Hookan STARED at that! "They...You mean...?" He said, as Quincy nodded. "I'm afraid so, Hookan....Maleficiant, the Witch of Darkness...And Judge Claude Frollo, the so called "Holy Man of France"." Magoo said, as he lifted his hand, summoning a book over to his side before it opened, as Hookan watched!

"You remember that day a long time ago, when they first came? Long ago, they had planned to take over this world, by spreading the darkness over it and attacking any living being, both human and us supernatural folks alike! However, myself, along with the other magical guardians, we've found a way to stop them: The Jewels of Virtue." He said, before he magical conjured the words and pictures from the book, like living art, as Hookan watched!!

"These treasures were forged with magic and God's Light. And each one represents the Virtues of the heart: Faith, Hope and Love. With the jewels created, we used it's powers to seal the darkness and it's minions into the Dark Realm, along with Maleficient and Frollo. To make sure nothing would ever happen, we've seperated the Jewels of Virtue into three pieces: The first was given to the Archdeacon, who has it sealed in a secret place in Notre Dame. The second I hold in my posession..." He said.

"And the third piece?" Hookan asked. "The third is here, in your castle, Hookan." He said, as the hound STARED!! "Impossible!!" Hookan said!

"To you maybe...But listen to me, you must inform your family about what's going on. As I've said, Jewel might play an important role in this, as will your brother, yourself and your friends...

The Darkness shall be unleashed,
by a man with a heart filled with hate
The demons will try and hunt down every soul,
but will only find one and the Gate
The Light will fade,
but three will help it glow
Love will bring those in unity,
Faith will guide those to understanding and right
And when all seems lost in the Firey City of God's Home,
Hope will shine so bright
Among the battle a sacrifice will be made,
a Jewel will make to save Faith, Hope and Love's Light
The Prince of the Moon with heart loyal and true,
shall bring his Sun back with pure heart's bite
And with the Jewels of Virtues in hands,
good shall triumph over evil and save the lands"

After he was finished, Magoo looked at his student as Hookan took in every bit of information. "Tell your parents, Hookan. If they believe in what I say, they'll no doubt give the Jewel of Love to Jewel...All of you must protect the jewels, find out who's using the minions of Satan and stop Frollo and Maleficient before the world is in darkness." Quincy said. Hookan nodded before he stood up.

"I'll tell them. They'll no doubt inform the others in the village about what's going on. Don't worry, Master Magoo, we'll stop them with the Jewels of Virtue and save our land." Hookan said. Magoo only nodded with a soft chuckle.

"I know you, Huck, Clementine, Jewel and your friends will. May the light of both Sun and Moon protect you all." He said, before the mirror went back to normal, ending the conversation.

Hookan sat back on his chair and thought about what just happened. A prophecy, Jewels of Virtue, darkness being summoned... What could this mean...?

With those questions in mind, he got up and went to find his parents, hoping that everything will be answered.
