Traditional Love

This is basically from me and DollGirl's current RPG. I posted this description on my submittion as well.

Hikari Pooch is my oc, and she’s the older sister of Penry Pooch (Hong Kong Phooey) by around two or three years.
Me and DollGirl (My friend from DA) came up with an idea that after her and Penry’s parents were murdered by a villain called Rival Master, Hikari would take on the role of a guardian and take care of her little brother (Like when she was around her preteens or something, I actually forgot what age they were when the tragedy happened. ) In addition to raising Penry, Hikari has to go to school, take care of the house and bills, work at a couple of jobs, all while trying to make sure her brother isn’t taken away by child care services.

Years passed and the Pooch Siblings are now adults with Penry working as a janitor and Hikari as a florist. (Or something that suits her abilities.) Now this takes place in me and DollGirl’s current RPG, which takes place in ToonTown, but would sometimes be called Toonopia or Toonopolis. My idea is that Samurai Jack works as a police office at the local precinct, where other toon cops work at (I.E. Sarge Flint, Rosemary, Charlie Dibble…)

To make a long story short, Penry saves his sister from Rival Master, when she was kidnapped. After R.M.’s arrest, Jack checks on the siblings to see if they’re alright, before Hikari has a sudden crush on the officer. They’ve gotten along really well, and Jack would be somewhat shy about his crush, Hikari, because Samurai Jack being such a gentleman to a woman is so sweet!

So yeah...I wanted to draw this, because I've seen one of the Cartoon Network bumpers, where the toons are at this kind of night club. I saw Samurai Jack hanging out with Hong Kong Phooey, chatting as if they were good friends. I thought "I have a HKP oc! Why not pair her with Jack?" Heh, and it turned out really cute! That and I liked the human/toon couple ever since I've watched Roger Rabbit!
