Sorry I didn't get to post a journal, guys! I was busy with volunteer work and life in general.

But this past Sunday, my uncle and aunt took me to the Niagara Falls Comic Con 2018!

EDIT: Link to pictures on my Tumblr page!

I was EXCITED! It was my first time ever at a comic con! Last year, my uncle was gonna surprise me with the trip, but my aunt was in a hospital at the time. He told me on the way to the con actually, but I understood why he had to cancel.

Anyways, we arrived at the convention building and went in. FIrst thing we got our selves was a bag to put our goodies in. As I bought the bag, I found one of my fave items....A Mario figure in a box, signed by CHARLES MARTINET!!! He was actually at said con last year, and I felt bummed that I missed the chance to meet him in person! But getting the figure was SOOO worth it!

We got into the comic con and started our browse around the place! There were stands that sold artworks, toys and figures from the eighties or seventies, comic books, hats, jewelry and more! I couldn't decide what to get at first!

We then went over to the celebrity panels, where guests could meet the guests in voice acting, acting, even wrestling! *Last part my uncle liked* But because of the schedules, some of the guests weren't there at the moment! I was REALLY looking forward to meeting Jameel White, and Dawn Wells was busy talking to a fan in front of me, but at least I got to see her. She was beautiful in person!

I DID get to meet a couple guests worth seeing! *Please note that this meeting isn't in order*

And I know what you're gonna say. "They're people!" Yes I know they're people, but the jittery exciteable fan girl in me shone through! This was also the first time I've got to meet a celebrity since Lou Rosseli in the 90's.

I met John Ratzenberger and George Wendt from Cheers, but Mr.Ratzenberger's best known as the voices of some of the Pixar characters, like Hamm! *Palms face* Lord I was SOOO nervous about meeting him, I felt it was the most awkward moment for me! I had gotten a hat like Luigi's, and he complimented it to me. When Mr.Ratzenberger asked if I spoke in Italian, because he liked the hat, I said that I wish I did but I can use an Italian accent. It got quiet after that...! I was inwardly EMBARRASED, but I quickly explained that he was a wonderful voice actor and thanked him for his work!

Mr.Wendt was nice as well, I got the chance to take a picture of him with my aunt and uncle! About the only celebrity picture I took...!

Then...I met them! Chris Saradon and Charles Fleischer! The voices of Jack Skellington and Roger Rabbit!

Now I was EXTREMELY nervous about this! Being a fan of both The Nightmare Before Christmas and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, I had to think over what to say carefully! After I managed to calm down a bit and took a breath, I went over to meet them.

I met Mr.Saradon first, and this is when the awesomeness SKY ROCKETED! I was about to shake his hand when I first said hello, but he held his fist out to me! We fist bumped! Not once, but TWICE! I told him I watched the NBC, played the Oogie's Revenge game and the world in Kingdom Hearts series, thanking him for being Jack Skellington! He thanked me and was a polite gentleman! I bought a picture of Jack Skellington, which he signed it, before we bumped fists the second time! I thanked him again and left!

I then met Mr. Fleischer, we chatted a bit as I thanked him for being Roger Rabbit and how I enjoyed the movie! He was a very nice man as well, and I got to shake his hand!

After that, I left the panel area and breathed a HEAVY sigh in relief! Celebrities are people, but meeting them for me was a SCARY moment! I was glad I got over the nervousness though and continued with the comic con.

I saw this area with different sized Mystery Boxes. It was from a place called ToyNK, which specializes in mystery boxes. I looked at which one I wanted, and I picked the box that looked like a giant GameBoy. After I bought it, the lady at the stand told me to make sure I checked the box for a coupon before leaving the building. Well I did, and found said coupon. The prize I got was a replica prop of the Lucielle bat from the Walking Dead series!

*I plan on giving a couple items to familiy members, and the prop is one of them for my oldest nephew*

I went back to the stand and presented the coupon to one of the vendors. Then, before I knew what was going on, he said in a LOUD voice: "WE HAVE A WINNER!!!" I felt like BLUSHING in joy as the people around the Mystery Box stand applauded! I was presented with the propl replica and had my picture taken! The bat was plastic, but it was heavy as I carried it around!

I grabbed a bag of popcorn and an Icee as a snack before I found my uncle and aunt, who had gotten what they wanted as well. A couple hours later, we left the convention building and got lunch at Dairy Queen, then went to the Hershey's Building to browse around for a bit before we headed home.

By the time I got into my apartment building, I was EXHAUSTED! My feet was killing me and my arms were tired from the goodies, but I was happy!

I will post the pictures of what I got on DA if anyone's interested in seeing them!

But overall, I enjoyed myself and being with my aunt and uncle!

Sounds like you've had a lot of fun over there! :) I admit I've never been to any convention as of yet, but I'm still hoping for one to show up near where I am. Can't wait to see the photos!
